Now...At 355 pm...The national weather service doppler radar in shreveport indicated numerous showers and scattered thunderstorms...Extending to the north of a line from near pickens Oklahoma...To idabel Oklahoma...To near hooks Texas...To near prescott Arkansas. These showers and thunderstorms were moving to the southwest near 20 miles an hour. Expect showers and thunderstorms to continue to affect parts of the area this afternoon. Strong gusty winds to 35 mph and frequent lightning will accompany the storms. Rainfall amounts will range from one half of an inch to three quarters of an inch...With isolated amounts near two inches in brief heavy downpours.
