Now...Scattered thunderstorms with very heavy rainfall and some showers will continue to affect locations mainly southeast of a lampasas to waco and athens through late afternoon. A few of the storms will produce wind gusts of 35 to 40 mph along with very heavy rainfall up to 1 and 1/2 inch an hour. Flash flooding of low lying areas is possible in bell county south of salado...And around waco through 500 pm. Otherwise...A partly cloudy sky will prevail region wide through the afternoon with temperatures peaking in the upper 80s to lower 90s.
