Now...Scattered showers and thunderstorms will move slowly northeast across the southern and western Texas panhandle and the western Oklahoma panhandle through late this afternoon. Some of the stronger storms will be capable of producing gusty winds and very heavy rainfall. One to two inch an hour rainfall rates will be likely. Localized flash flooding of creeks...Ditches...Low water crossings and urban areas will be possible. Amarillo...Canyon...Palo duro canyon state park...Wayside... Hereford...Vega...Panhandle...Claude...Channing...Dalhart...Dumas... Boise city and stratford are a few places that will be affected by the stronger storms through 600 pm.
