Now...Through 9 pm...Scattered showers and strong thunderstorms will continue to move northwest across the mid and upper counties of deep south Texas at 15 mph. The heaviest storms were over jim hogg, and starr counties. Rainfall amounts of one to two inches per hour are possible along with dangerous lighting, gusty winds, and pounding to roadways. Motorist are urged to drive with caution.
