Now...Through 9 pm...Scattered showers and thunderstorms will move northwest at 25 mph across the rio grande plains and western hill country. The storms will be most numerous from del rio to lake amistad and rocksprings. Rainfall amounts of one quarter to one half inch can be expected. Locally higher amounts near 1 inch and wind gusts to 35 mph are possible in the stronger storms. This activity will diminish between 9 and 10 pm with the loss of heating.
